Anchorage Yoga

Five Stars, hands down the best yoga studio on the top of the world (in Alaska)! And in my opinion, just anywhere, because I’ve never felt so at home, welcomed, encouraged, and embraced with knowledge and guidance in my practice as I do here. I believe that I’ve participated in the full array of yoga classes offered, and also joined in on educational opportunities. I love love love the teachers! I’m obsessed with the standard that the studio holds when it comes to what they offer, and I can’t say enough about the atmosphere. I usually get the passes that you can use whenever (so many to use within a year) because my schedule can be so sporadic, but I bought into my first membership recently (last 3 months) and am enjoying it extremely. I can book as many as I’d like, anytime, and even have access to virtual classes when I’m not in town. Of course I respect the terms of canceling if I can’t make it, have to, but all of the costs are fair. I’ve gained so much from my experiences there, can’t put a price on how I feel when I’m going to and leaving from the studio. The high energy I have after class carries me through my day, gracefully and mindfully. I’m very grateful for Anchorage Yoga, as it’s a light in my life, and will forever hold a special place in my heart!

I have been regularly attending Anchorage Yoga for about a month now. I have been attending Hailey W's flow class and when I go to her classes my body and mind feel so at peace and I feel a-lot of joy and lightness. On the days I do not attend her class I feel a-lot more anxious, grumpy and a-lot heavier, a disconnect with myself. There is something about the softness in her voice, the messages she brings with her to share with us. Her confidence in her practice shows and I wish Hailey had a class everyday, but I cant be selfish and I appreciate the days she is available. Thanks Hailey keep being you!

I've done yoga a few times before, and I always thought "it's fun and good but it's not the kind of high-octane super challenging workout that I'm looking for". The hot yoga Bikram session last night totally proved me wrong. We worked every muscle in the body, did all the balance and strengthening work that my decrepit body needs, my lungs and muscles were put under such taxing stress from the heat, I really wanted to give up the entire time but didn't and after the class ended, I floated around the studio feeling so strong and lean and detoxed. And PROUD of myself. It was completely electrifying and I can't wait to come back thank you Anchorage Yoga!

Ive been coming to this studio for over 2 months, and it is a great place to practice. The staff are always upbeat and nice, accommodating. The instructors are well versed in their knowledge of yoga, and are fun while teaching. Laughs are welcome. I feel very comfortable here, no pressure to perform, just do what feels right, is the theme. Great workouts….!! Locker rooms and showers are a nice touch, clean and lockable lockers. They provide shampoo and conditioner and body wash in all the showers. Very well thought out.

I LOVE Anchorage Yoga!!!!!!! I love the environment and culture they create there as soon as you walk in. I’ve done yoga at other facilities and with other instructors and it really just feel like a good work out or stretch. At Anchorage Yoga it almost feels like church for your soul and the work out is a bonus. I love the staff at AY. I adore Katey & Raquel! Raquel’s sound baths are amazing and soulful. I also see Lauren for my massages and adore her. I love her energy and she fully explains her techniques. I leave there like I’m floating afterwards. If you haven’t experienced Anchorage Yoga you are missing out!
